River Red ep version of butterfly, the name of the band partly came from this song - 'we played at a couple of gigs before we had a name, one night we introduced the band as the amazing acoustic butterfly collective... the acoustic butterfly part stuck'.
lyrics
Wake up little butterfly, wave your wings and fly high
Wake up little butterfly, wave your wings and fly high
When you're tapping on her window, tell her from me
You're the sweetest little butterfly i think i'm gonna see
When you wake up butterfly, pass this on for me
You sing that song so sweet, sing it one more time
Sing that song so sweet, sing it one more time
Coz when you sing it oh so softly and i hear all of those words
I'm thinkin that this must be the sweetest thing i ever heard
Sing that little sweet song, sing it one more time
I woke up this morning, fell right straight out of bed
Got no way of getting you girl out of my head
I've got no way of knowing and its waring me thin
I keep on thinkin you with him
And i just can seem to get myself together
Hate the idea of needing you
For everywhere i go i see you there
Smell your scent in the open air
And it makes me cold as my sweat gets harder
Cant catch my breath my hearts beating faster
As the black wall hits me in the eye i think i'm gonna
Wake up little butterfly, wave your wings and fly high
Wake up little butterfly, wave your wings and fly high
When you're tapping on her window, tell her from me
You're the sweetest little butterfly i think i'm gonna see
When you wake up butterfly, pass this on for me
